Lost and Found

CHO Airport utilizes the web application, Crowdfind, to manage items turned into our lost and found. The Crowdfind system can be searched for various items and allows a guest to file a claim for an item at any time. Items are held in our lost and found in accordance with Virginia Code §15.2-1719.

Guests are not permitted to search the physical lost and found inventory. Individuals must fill out the claim form through the Crowdfind link and provide an adequate description of the item. A CHO Airport employee will message you with a “match”, ask for additional information, or reject your claim if sufficient information isn’t given. Please do not submit multiple claims for the same item.

The Lost and Found office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, except on all observed holidays. Please allow a minimum of 1-2 business days for a confirmation or rejection of a match. Claimants must provide a photo identification before the item(s) will be released.

Only items found in the public areas of the airport – including the security checkpoints – are included in the airport’s lost and found.
